Uno de los nombres propios que deberí­an destacarse sobremanera en la presente edición de las WSOP es el de Nicolay Evdakov. Un jugador poco conocido hasta este verano pero que después de las diez veces que ha entrado en premios en los eventos WSOP de este año se convierte en el jugador más premiado en una sola edición de las World Series of Poker . Esos diez «in the Money» le han supuesto un total de 228.000$ pero sobretodo el honor de superar a los anteriores poseedores de este récord. Y es que Humberto Brenes (2008), Phil Hellmuth (2006), Michael Binger (2007) y Chad Brown (2007) habí­an conseguido hasta ocho «ITM» en unas mismas WSOP.
